The Laboratory of Structural Integrity, Reliability and Micromechanics of Materials has equipment for mechanical and microstructural characterization and processing of materials.

CIEFMA is a consolidated research group of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) that aims to undertake research, development and technology transfer activities in the fields of structural integrity, micromechanics and the reliability of materials for applications in engineering, as well as the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies to optimize the microstructural design and/or functionality of specific materials.
