Laboratory of Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering
In the Laboratory of Biomaterials, Biomechanics, and Tissue Engineering, activities are undertaken to design, manage, organize and execute research, development and innovation projects. Specific services are offered in the fields of microscopy, mechanical characterization, chemical and structural characterization, physical characterization, thermal and surface treatments, electrochemical characterization, biological characterization, in vivo studies, histological characterization, forensic engineering and expert analysis, data analysis and processing, and technological consultancy.
Research in the BBT is focused on the development of biomaterials for the regeneration and/or functional repair of tissues and organs, at the level of more basic research and in the task of transferring knowledge to companies and hospitals in the sector.
