Mechanical and Tribological Laboratory

Offering main image

The aim of the Mechanical and Tribological Laboratory is to determine the effect of microstructure on the properties of materials. Determine the mechanical properties and resistance to wear of materials and components and the improvement of these properties with thermal treatments.

The mechanical testing equipment enables the mechanical characterization of materials and components through different types of tests: hardness, traction, etc.

Tribological characterization can be used to determine the frictional behavior of systems in relative motion. Roughness, friction and wear tests are carried out.
