Textile Research Laboratories
The Terrassa Institute of Textile Research and Industrial Cooperation (INTEXTER) analyzes products from the textile value chain (fibers, yarns, fabrics, nonwoven fabrics, garments) and the processes and products for obtaining final use properties. It also analyzes the purification of wastewater from textile processes and related sectors (leather, paper, food, etc.) and the design of treatment systems. INTEXTER has pilot plants for cotton and regenerated fiber spinning, nanofiber electrospinning, weaving, nonwoven fibers, dyeing, laundry and water purification.
The aim of the institute is to focus on research and technology transfer, supporting the industry in its surroundings and our society to:
- Develop new products, prototypes and sample books
- Make statements on defects in existing materials
- Analyze and monitor existing materials
- Draw up experts’ reports
- Third cycle courses
