Description

The Calibration and Dosimetry Laboratory is certified by the National Accreditation Body (ENAC), in accordance with the ISO 17025 standard, to perform:

  • Calibration of monitors for environmental dosimetry and personal dosimetry. Quality control in x-ray diagnostics and standard ionization chambers for x-rays, gamma radiation and beta radiation.
  • Calibration of portable monitors for surface contamination.
  • Calibration of high voltage measurement equipment for x-ray equipment.
  • Radiation of personal and environmental dosimetry.

The objectives of the infrastructure are:

  • Provide an efficient and quality calibration service to cover the needs of ionizing radiation users.
  • Develop new measurement techniques to ensure continuous quality improvement of laboratory measurements and their management.
  • Collaborate in the development of Institute of Energy Technologies (INTE) research projects that require the use of well-characterized radiation fields, especially in the dosimetry and medical radiophysics program.
  • Organize intercomparison campaigns with external personal dosimetry services.
  • Collaborate with the thermoluminescence laboratory on optimization of measurement techniques for personal, environmental and medical dosimetry.
