Maritime Engineering Laboratory
The UPC Maritime Engineering Laboratory is a specific research center created in 1987. It is part of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The center has a team of research excellence from a range of scientific and technical disciplines. Its infrastructure is unique at national and European levels.
The CIEM research channel has been selected as a "Large Scale Facility" by the European Union since 1997 and as a Singular Research Facility (ICTS) in Spain since 2006.
LIM/UPC is part of MARHIS, Maritime Aggregated Research Hydraulic Infrastructures, a distributed research infrastructure (ICTS) of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness in Spain.
