Description

The GREMS Mineral Processing Laboratory is a leading Spanish mining scientific facility. It has the equipment required for physical and chemical tests on any kind of sample. Activities range from crushing and grinding to separating using a concentration table, hydrocyclone band or flotation cells. Frequently, sectors such as the chemical, mining, food or construction industries require tests to determine the properties of a natural or artificial material. The laboratory has the Tecnio quality seal.

The main areas of research of GREMS are focused on the mining sector and are:

  • Characterization of mineral deposits.
  • Optimization of mineral processing, safety and environmental conditions in underground mining, monitoring subsidence.
  • Preservation of geological and mining heritage.
