Description

The devices of the Soft Materials Application Lab enable the determination of a wide range of material properties (density, refractive index, viscosity, oxidation stability, flash point, optical activity, elasticity, particle shape and size, surface charge, nanostructure,...) even of complex systems (composite materials, surface-modified and nanostructured materials and particles, multicomponent systems,...). Time- or temperature-dependent processes, such as chemical and biochemical reactions, polymerization and aggregation processes, phase transitions of polymers and liquid crystals,... of polymers and liquid crystals, etc., can also be investigated in-situ using the measuring devices.
