The Department offers: Analysis and evaluation of energy intensity of machine tools and manufacturing equipment. Study of dynamic properties of manufacturing machines. Modeling, numerical simulation, error minimization and compensation of machine tools and workpieces. Experimental identification, design, modeling and optimization of thermal properties of machine tools Analysis and design of assembly systems and intelligent machining jigs. Optimization of machining conditions and analysis of opportunities to increase the efficiency of machining manufacturing. Measurement of geometric structures of machined surfaces. Measurement of shape and position errors of machined workpieces. Study of physical phenomena accompanying the separation of materials. Cutting of workpieces by water-jet, reinforced string and electro-erosion.
