The Surface Technology team in its current composition consists of employees derived from the Department of Surface Engineering, Catalysis and Corrosion, part of the former Institute of Inorganic Technology and Mineral Fertilizers. The Department was headed for many years by Prof. Bogdan Szczygiel, DSc., and since 2021 the work of the team has been headed by Juliusz Winiarski, DSc., Prof. of the university. The team cooperates with, among others: Silesian University of Technology, Gdansk University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Vrije Universitet Brussel, Heiche Sp. z o.o., GalvanoPartners Sp. z o. o. It carries out implementation doctorates in the field of technology of manufacturing protective coatings on aluminum and zinc alloys.The Team offers: Expertise in corrosion problems and corrosion damage.
