Description

The Department of Roads, Bridges, Railways and Airports has a Research Laboratory for Facilities of Transport Infrastructure (LBOIT), which has a management system in place, compliant with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 standard.The laboratory, after the carrying out the accreditation process, was certified by the Polish Center for Accreditation in Warsaw on 03/08/2010. The certificate covers 41 test methods testing methods, performed by the Laboratory in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 and industry standards. In addition, the Laboratory performs tests not covered by accreditation. Accredited testing applies to the following materials and objects: - soils (CBR bearing capacity index, bulk density, grain composition, optimum moisture content), - Aggregates (absorbability, frost resistance, polishability, resistance to crushing, grain composition, density), aggregates (absorbability, frost resistance, polishability, resistance to crumbling, grain composition, density), - asphalts and asphalt binders (needle penetration, softening point), - cement-stabilized soils (compressive strength, frost resistance), - concrete mixtures (consistencies by methods: cone fall, Vebe, density determination, air content), - concretes (water absorption, frost resistance, strengths: compressive, splitting tensile, splitting tensile, flexural), - concretes in construction (reflection number, ultrasonic wave velocity), - mineral-asphalt and cement-emulsion mixtures (density volumetric, soluble binder content, grain composition, stability and deformation, triaxial compression, stiffness by methods: IT-CY and 4-point beam, creep under static and repetitive loading, resistance to permanent deformation, resistance to fatigue) and testing of of road surfaces (deflections by methods: beam deflection meter Benkelman beam deflectometer and FWD impact deflectometer, transverse and longitudinal, modulus of strain).
