Description

The Department offers comprehensive testing and assessment of the technical condition of general and industrial buildings, laboratory and “in situ” testing of building materials and elements, non-destructive testing of materials and structures, technical expertise and design of masonry buildings, timber-frame buildings, prefabricated and monolithic reinforced concrete buildings, strengthening of masonry, timber and reinforced concrete system buildings and structures, expert reports and technical opinions in the field of finishing works, including, among others, roofing, insulation and moisture protection, plaster and flooring, measurements of the accuracy of workmanship, by metric and geodetic methods, of any construction objects, as well as the evenness of the execution of plaster, floors, walls, ceiling deflections, etc. designs of moisture protection and thermal rehabilitation of general construction objects, as well as historic buildings, technical advice, supervision and acceptance of works, falling within the scope of general construction. reviews of the technical condition of buildings, assessment of the technical condition of building objects. Identification of computational models of the local climate of urban and industrial agglomerations in terms of improving the energy efficiency of mixed-use buildings, environmental protection and sustainable development, including modeling of solar and thermal radiation deformed by agglomerations. Studies of the microclimate of building interiors and the thermal comfort of the occupants. Research and multi-criteria optimization of active and passive solar energy systems in energy-efficient residential and public buildings in terms of energy savings, thermal and visual comfort of building occupants. Studies of the effect of the relative partial embedment of a building in the ground on its annual heat balance Thermal imaging studies of residential and public buildings, thermal and moisture diagnostics of the building envelope and numerical analysis of thermal bridges for various heat flow conditions. Numerical modeling and analysis by the finite element method of building structures (silos, cooling towers, chimneys, prefabricated buildings) in the linear and nonlinear range (static and dynamic analysis). Structural issues in the revitalization of urban building structures, including historic buildings. Numerical analysis by finite element method of complex masonry structures of historic buildings. Issues of optimization and polyoptimization of elements of building structures.Issues of online teaching in the field of construction-related subjects, and primarily on the application of computer methods in the design of structures and in the organization and management of construction projectsNew technological and organizational solutions in the design and implementation of construction facilities, including the search for methods resulting in increased efficiency in the implementation of construction facilities. Methods of managing construction processes (investment preparation, construction implementation, use process) in adjustment to the requirements of the European Union. Study of the probabilistic nature of construction processes. Analysis of the impact of time dispersion on the efficiency of construction processes. Verification of methods of organization taking into account time coupling in construction practice.
