Equipment
- Durability and safety of structures in interaction with the ground (DESSIS): a set of instrumented equipment for the study of the mechanical behaviour of construction materials, geomaterials and civil engineering structures subjected to extreme or recurrent stresses (earthquakes, shocks, cyclic loading...)
- Flows, structures and risks (EOR): a set of original equipment for the reproduction of natural phenomena such as avalanches, mudslides and debris, and the study of their impact on structures
- Free surface flows and sediment transport (ECOUFLU): unique equipment dedicated to understanding the morphological evolution of natural or highly anthropized systems (rivers, sandbanks, coastal environments)
- The largest rotating platform in the world (CORIOLIS) for large-scale reproduction of complex geophysical flows and the study of associated phenomena (turbulence, instabilities, stratification, etc.)
- Dedicated characterisation and measurement resources: 3D imaging, target tracking, acoustic probes, high-speed cameras, laser anemometry

Description
The platform is dedicated to the study of natural gravity phenomena such as mudslides, avalanches, debris flows or granular and sedimentary flows, but also to the characterisation of the mechanical behaviour of materials, structures and works under strong mechanical constraints. and/or recurring. The study scales go from grain to meso-structure.
The platform brings together a unique set of equipment allowing tests to be carried out under controlled conditions.
Applications: environmental engineering, civil engineering, decision support.
