Odqvist Lab for Experimental Mechanics
The Odqvist Laboratory for Experimental Mechanics is unique in Sweden, offering Advanced test methods and experimental facilities covering most aspects of engineering mechanics. The facilities include wind tunnels, anechoic and reverberant acoustic chambers, and a broad range of test equipment and measurement systems for solid and fluid materials.
The centre was formed 2010 in order to coordinate and strengthen experimental research in mechanics at KTH, increase its visibility and promote national and international collaboration.
Includes f.ex. wind tunnels, anechoic, semi-anechoic and reverberant acoustic chambers, digital image correlation (DIC) systems. Consists of 4 facilities:
- Fluid physics lab
- Lightweight structures lab
- Lab for sound and vibration research
- Solid mechanics lab
