Description

The CO 2 Circle Lab research infrastructure (co-financed by Regione Piemonte, POR FESR Piemonte 2014-2020, ASSE I, Azione I.1.a.1.5, “INFRA-P - Sostegno alle infrastrutture di ricerca considerate critiche/cruciali per i sistemi regionali”) addresses the need for breakthroughs which could feed the innovation cycle in sustainable business models. We are engaged in creating carbon-neutral integrated production concepts from greenhouse gases including carbon dioxide to added-value products. The constellation of versatile and Advanced facilities, including pre-existing facilities made available, embraced by our infrastructure offers a platform of flexible techniques for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and energy generation/accumulation. To offset the cost associated with CCS, there is growing interest in identifying commercially viable end-use opportunities for the captured carbon-based feedstock. In this respect, our infrastructure offers wide competence in carbon reuse economy, integrating the management/accumulation of renewable sources, modelling of energetic strategies with the application of innovative biotechnological, (photo)electrochemical and thermochemical approaches. We are inspired by a challenge-driven, solution-oriented and trans-disciplinary perspective to support you with the most suitable technical solutions.
