Mission and Objectives ITO@UGA, the Innovation and Transfer Office shared by Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) and Grenoble INP – UGA, the Engineering and Management Institute of UGA, was officially created on January 1, 2021. It brings together the strengths of four structures: the Innovation Departments of UGA and Grenoble INP – UGA, and their respective subsidiaries, Floralis and Grenoble INP Entreprise. By combining these entities under a unique banner, ITO@UGA aims to increase collective efficiency in serving users and supporting technology transfer from public research to the socio-economic world. This consolidation of expertise and resources allows ITO@UGA to better fulfill its missions of covering partnerships and valorizing research results, ultimately fostering a more innovative and prosperous ecosystem within the Université Grenoble Alpes and its surrounding region. It is organized into 4 expert departments: Contracts, Intellectual Property, Valorization and Start-up, all of them being supporting by transversal activities including Deontology, Quality, Indicators, Incitation and Communication.

Innovation Ecosystem/Affiliations ITO@UGA operates at multiple levels within the innovation ecosystem. At the local level, it interacts with various development services of institutions and organizations such as the SATT Linksium Grenoble Alpes, competitiveness clusters, Carnot institutes, IRT, and ITE. Nationally, it collaborates with other universities through networks like C.U.R.I.E. and UDICE. At the International level, it works with many partners and entities such as the European Unite! University and the EIT Health and InnoEnergy in Europe.
Recurring Events

ITO@UGA organizes an annual Inovalo360, winter school on innovation and valorizatio. This event, held since 2022, aims to develop innovation culture among PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, researchers and research staff across all scientific disciplines.
