Widening Training @Wroclaw - Onboarding Early-Stage researchers
This 3-day in-person training focuses on helping them with their first steps of PhD journey, with one guiding question: how to navigate your research career?
What you’ll gain
- A clear roadmap for starting your PhD journey — from defining your research question and building a supervision team to setting realistic milestones and avoiding common pitfalls in the first years.
- Tools to plan your academic and professional career — including personal development planning, competency mapping, and strategies for balancing research, teaching, and life beyond academia.
- Methods to discover your resources and strengths — through guided self-reflection exercises, peer feedback sessions, and frameworks for identifying your unique value as a researcher.
Format : 3-day in-person training, combining presentations, interactive workshops, a study visit, and networking moments.
Who should apply ?
Young researchers, preferably PhDs.
- Number of available slots for ULisboa participants: 6
- Number of available slots for Wrocław Tech participants: 6
- Number of available slots for each other Unite! universities : 1 per non-Widening Unite! university
- Number of available slots for other Widening university : 4
Participation & costs:
- Participation is free of charge. Travel and accommodation are covered for participants from ULisboa, following Unite! Widening rules and will be confirmed to selected participants. For other participants, travels costs can be covered via other schemes such as Erasmus+.
Application procedure :
- Deadline for applications will be September 13th.
- All applicants will receive information about the status of their application by September 18th.
