Description by Host:
This one-hour taster session is designed for teachers and early-career academics from all nine Unite! universities across all disciplines who want to explore or launch international collaborative courses. Administrative and pedagogical staff supporting course development are also welcome to join.
Curious about what successful collaborative teaching that benefits you and your students can look like? After a brief introduction to international collaborative courses and the main Unite! pathways, the session will centre on case studies of successful courses.
You will learn about course designs that worked and how colleagues navigated topics such as pedagogy, digital learning, teaching in international classrooms, and administrative processes. You’ll leave with options to enhance your current teaching, avoid common pitfalls, and understand the concrete benefits of international collaborative teaching for you. There will also be some time to ask your questions that come up during the session.
Whether you’re just getting started or already have some experience in international collaborative teaching and want to hear how others implemented it, this session is a great starting point to move from idea to implementation.
