Carla Valentim

With 29 years of experience transforming science education through innovation and international collaboration, I have led curriculum development and pedagogical innovation across 10 countries, notably at the European School of Brussels II, and coordinated large-scale EU projects such as iTEC, impacting thousands of students through effective use of educational technology.

My mission is to contribute to a sustainable and equitable education system in which ESG principles guide pedagogical decisions. I am committed to demonstrating how innovative teaching methodologies, international cooperation and digital tools can foster not only academic success, but also responsible and conscious global citizenship.

Working at the intersection of science education, educational technology and sustainability research, I am a Physics, Chemistry and ICT teacher currently pursuing a Doctorate in Sustainability in Education. My professional practice combines classroom experience with academic rigor, focusing on innovative learning scenarios, meaningful ICT integration, international project coordination and research that bridges theory and educational practice.
