Lab Rotation program for Master's students
The Lab Rotation Program (LRP) of BioTechMed-Graz will enable international and national students with a master’s degree/diploma MD to become personally acquainted with the research teams and work done in laboratories of BioTechMed-Graz full members. The aim of the LRP is to give potential doctoral students a chance to broaden their scientific interests beyond the topic of their master's thesis before they decide on applications for specific doctoral programs.
Details
• Duration of the lab rotation: 4 months
• Students who have received a master’s degree in BioTechMed-Graz related research areas (e.g. natural or life sciences, medical sciences or computational sciences)
• Application in a research field that is not related to the topic of the master’s thesis
• Stipend agreement with the corresponding university (8,000 EUR for 4 months for personal use)
• One BioTechMed Graz full member acts as a mentor for one fellow
• Financial contribution for the institution involved: 4,000 EUR
Who is eligible to apply?
• Completion of the Master's degree before December 15 of the respective call year
• Candidates who have not officially finished their master’s studies may also apply
Start of the lab rotation: Between 1.10.2026 and 31.1.2027
Registration as a student when you undertake a lab rotation at TU Graz:
Only students registered as incoming students at TU Graz can benefit from the advantages of student status.
To be admitted as a student, the fully completed Learning Agreement must be submitted to the Exchange Coordinator at the International Office – Welcome Center by mid-September. Additionally, all required steps in the application software Mobility-Online must be completed to finalize the admission process.
