Polish for Academic Purposes II - Oral Communication
This course is designed for students who already possess a solid knowledge of Polish, either because Polish is their native language or because they have acquired it to a satisfactory level. The course aims to enable students to communicate effectively orally on topics relevant to university and professional contexts. Oral expression, spelling and grammar skills are improved by working on different topics and text types.
After an introduction to study-relevant text types in oral communication (e.g. presentations, lectures, job interviews, counselling interviews, etc.), the focus is placed on three subject areas: Education, Science and Technology, and Professional Context. A presentation on a topic of the student's choice will be given as evidence of achievement. The topic of the presentation must be directly related to one of the subject areas covered and to the student's own degree programme.
