Module Computer Aided Design for Systems on Chips (CAD4SoC)
Computer-Aided Design for Systems on Chips (CAD4SoC) is a master's-level course offered by TU Darmstadt (TUDa).
It is a completely digitalised course, meaning that no presence in a TUDa lecture hall is required- even the two half-day integrated labs can be done remotely.
Learning Outcomes:
After successful completion of this module, the students will understand
• The most important design and verification abstractions as well as the design flow for the design of integrated electronic systems,
• Selected algorithms for optimisation, simulation and solving of design tasks,
• Advanced methods for the design and simulation of analogue integrated circuits in modern CMOS technologies,
• Advanced concepts of hardware description languages and their concepts (Verilog, VHDL, Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, System-Verilog).
Any further Information?
Please contact us by email (Klaus.Hofmann@ies.tu-darmstadt.de). The course is fully digitalized, and can therefore be started any time. There will be a written exam by about mid-end of July 2026, which is physically done in Darmstadt, but participation remotely is possible. The recognition of the exam result is possible by VECP, if you are a student of a Unite! university. Participation in the two half-day labs remotely is also possible.
